We had our Joy School Thanksgiving feast this past week.  It was so fun to see these little people talk about the things that make their hearts say thank you.  They went around and said something they were grateful their body could do, Evie said she is grateful her feet and legs can move. We made little pilgrim and Indian hats and danced around to Dulaman, a musical favorite my children are loving these days.  Evie will close her eyes and slowly move her arms and hands to the music while Avett just yells "AGAIN!" each time it ends. 

Holidays are so much fun with children!

I don't have many quiet moments in my day.  But right now I am listening to the sound of my dishwasher going and clothes in the dryer and the static of the monitors. Both of my babies are sleeping and I just sat down to fold a load of clothes.  My husband is upstairs working away and everything here is so hushed and calm.  It's dreary and dim outside as a storm is looming in the afternoon.  I feel like these days at home with my babies are so sheltered.  We live in a sacred little bubble here in our home.  We don't really get out much except for the occasional play date and the days I'm feeling brave enough to conquer the grocery store with two little ones.  I love being at home with my children.  I can feel that my soul has grown sensitive to this simple life.  Right now our world feels so untouched.

floor bed + thanks + something free

Oh man oh man!  

Thanks to everyone so so much for all the awesome support, advice, and suggestions from my most recent woes.  I have tried a few of the ideas.  I got two great messages from Kieren and my sister's sister-in-law Lindsey about the Montessori idea of the floor bed.  I liked it but I need a mattress bigger than her crib mattress so I dont have to nurse her to sleep while I'm on the hardwood floor.  We both don't exactly fit, my baby is a bed hog.  I am going to keep trying that idea though.

i am grateful for the sparkling pumpkin spiced cider chilling in my refrigerator for thanksgiving dinner

i am grateful for a family that loves me despite my pregnancy mood swings (i cry pretty easily these days)

i am grateful that tomorrow Mr. Murphy is putting up EJ's crib after we eat til our heart's content

i am grateful for the joy that The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to my life
i am grateful to snuggle in bed with my little sister and her babe even though she won't let me put my feet on hers
i am grateful for music
i am grateful for my disappearing belly button

i am grateful for bosom friends

i am grateful for a warm home to live in, clothes to put on my body, and food to feed my belly
